Meet the Owner — Yosi Faynsod
Yosi started Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu over 20 years ago, learning from the best. He brings the same discipline, precision, and hands on leadership that defined his 20+ years in construction into the heart of Feral Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He brings qualities that now shape the structure and culture of the academy.
At Feral Brazilian Jiu - Jitsu, Yosi focuses on creating a place where every student’s goals, effort, and commitment are respected. He believes progress starts with a clear plan, and he works closely with each student to help them understand how consistent training can help them achieve their goals. Yosi oversees everything from academy development to student experience. His hands on approach ensures the gym runs with the same reliability, structure, and care he's brought to every project in his career.
Yosi began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2003 and continues his training daily, carrying forward the values and spirit of the Rey Diogo / Carlson Gracie team.

Course description
Adult Class:
The Adult BJJ program, for ages 14 and up, is built to help students discover the many benefits Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu offers, self‑defense, improved fitness, confidence, problem‑solving, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Classes are open to all skill levels, and both instructor and students work together to make newcomers feel comfortable as they learn and progress.
Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu is a grappling‑based martial art centered on ground control, leverage, and technique. Students learn how to manage situations through positioning, pressure, and submission holds rather than relying on strength alone.
We offer gi and no‑gi training, with classes ranging from foundational self‑defense to advanced competition preparation. Each session begins with movement‑based warm‑ups or positional drills, followed by the technique of the day and focused sparring. Open mat is available afterward for additional practice, sparring, or reviewing techniques.
All these programs are operated under the guidance of Ricardo “Rey” Diogo, 6th‑degree black belt, as part of the Rey Diogo / Carlson Gracie Team. What began as a personal passion has developed into something much greater, and we’re proud of the foundation laid and motivated by what comes next.
Kids Class:
The Kids BJJ Program , We believe in simple ideas, strong relationships, and lasting. Our Kids Brazilian Jiu‑Jitsu program, designed for ages 6–13, focuses on building confidence that carries over into everyday life. Classes are structured around positive reinforcement, respect, and encouragement, helping students learn how to stay composed under pressure and work through challenges. Over time, many young practitioners develop greater motivation, self‑assurance, and resilience.
We offer both gi and no‑gi training. Classes include anti‑bullying , self‑defense, fitness, and technique. Each session begins with a warm‑up using Jiu‑Jitsu‑based movements to improve strength and coordination, followed by focusing on the technique of the day . Classes conclude with positional sparring related to the day’s lesson, newer students may observe this portion until they feel comfortable participating.
We believe Jiu‑Jitsu provides meaningful benefits for children of all backgrounds and experience levels. New students are always welcomed with extra guidance to help them settle in and feel confident on the mat. We invite all families to bring their kids to try a class and see how they grow.
